Our client is a European company specialized in the manufacturing and trading of casual wear. It has been working with Asia for over 35 years.
The company is currently looking for a Merchandiser Outwear for their Suzhou branch to accompany the growth of the Business Activity in China.

Job description
• Follow up buying plan schedule
• Sourcing of new suppliers and products
• Negotiate the best prices and conditions with suppliers according to quality
and specification criteria’s
• Make sure suppliers follow the client’s code of ethic
• Undertake analysis for market and competitive brand information to monitor industry trends, regulations to develop new products and find new suppliers
• Handle price inquiries and follow all sample details for development
• Follow up orders and make sure shipments are on time
• Settle problems at sample and production stage
• Work closely with QC team regarding product quality and design on all the
selection styles and shipment schedules
• Arrange samples for testing and follow up testing status
• Plan factory visits when developing new products or to inspect production of
major orders
• Coordinate finance dept. to release payments to vendors on time

Job requirements
• Experience in a trading or sourcing office within the apparel industry in
China
• Good technical understanding of textile and garments, outwear apparel in
particular
• Strong sense negotiation skills
• Strong production, QC, sourcing and logistics experience;
• Good planning, analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
• Strong focus on quality control and quality of service
• Good interpersonal skills and focused on details
• Honest, open minded and hands on
• Native Mandarin, fluent in English
