Our client is the buying office of a chain of hypermarkets and supermarkets well established in France and neighboring countries.
To help and support the team to source products across different categories for their 200 + retail locations, they are looking for a Sourcing Assistant, based in Hong Kong (Kowloon), and reporting directly to the General Manager.

Job Description

Role: Assist the GM and the HK team in their daily job, with a strong focus on the Textile category


1) Sourcing Assistant (Textile category) - 60%
Assist on products' selection, order follow-up and tracking, sample control and validation, sales administration, coordination with third part inspection companies …

2) Database Maintenance - 30%
Ensure timely, accurate and exhaustive key in of all product Information in the internal database (all kinds of products, not only on the textile category)

3) Other Administrative tasks - 10%

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years work experience in sourcing, preferably in the textile category
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Patient, with a strong attention to details
  • Strong work ethics
  • Mindful and respectful of process and SOPs
  • Fluent in English ; French would be a strong advantage (at least reading and writing skills)
  • Good command of Excel, and computer savvy
