With a commercial presence in 130 markets through 50 sales offices, the company has more than 40 production and application centers spread around the world. The company’s Shanghai office is the Asia Pacific headquarters, and home to the regional management team.

To support accurate, effective and compelling marketing in Asia, Talent Fishers in looking for a Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific on behalf of this client. Reporting to the Regional CEO, the Head of Marketing is the senior-most functional decision-maker in Asia Pacific. Responsible for generating leads and driving positive brand perception, the Head of Marketing is our champion and evangelist.
Job Description
• Define, develop and implement a regional strategy aligned with corporate guidance across all markets, segments, and verticals
• Ensure a holistic and up-to-date industry, channel and category knowhow is effectively disseminated across the organization
• Be accountable for ensuring a best-in-class mix of products for industry fairs and in support of general proposals
• Strengthen the structure and effectiveness of the company’s internal and external customer-facing communication channels
• Management and strategy of marketing personnel, material and financial resources
o In compliance with approved budgets and global strategies
• Hands-on functional management to counteract deviations in communication or perception
o Close cooperation and consultation with Regional and in-country line managers
o Ensuring compliance with the approved budgets and established procedures
o Continuous standardization and optimization of processes and organizational structures
o Ensuring continuous improvement across the entire regional marketing function
• Chief accountability for the optimization of shared information across the business
• Develop and implement sales support and customer loyalty measures
o Including taking ownership of lead generation in the region
o Implement and optimize internal and external communication measures, including the company’s digital strategy
Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree or above
• At least 15 years’ total marketing experience in related industries
o Preferably within Ingredients, and Food and Beverage
o Strong exposure to product marketing operations
o Able to develop and deliver online/offline promotion, events and industry insight marketing
• Experience managing at least two direct report subordinates
o Product Management, Public Relations or Marketing Communications functions
• Proven business acumen and leadership in a marketing context
o Comfortable and effective in a matrixed environment
• Experience managing external agencies and marketing solutions providers
o Familiar with marketing spend projections, cost control, projections and ROI reporting
• Demonstrably analytical mindset, strategic thought process and business acumen
• Independent, self-motivated transparent and result-driven
• Fluency both in Mandarin and English
