Our client is a European company focus on developing lubricants and other products with high added technical value for a multitude of applications. For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Technical and Commercial Representative to develop their business in Asia.

Job location: Shanghai, P.R. China

Report to: GM

Department Objectives
-    Develop, and grow turnover and ensure profitability and excellent relationship of network with key deciders in top-management
-    Ensure that Company commercial and marketing strategy is fully executed at technical and commercial level

Job Objectives
Establish a network of relationships to understand deeply the Chinese Tunnel Market:

-    OEM development strategies in China and outside China.
-    OEM and Contractor technology developments. Goal: understand how a jobsite will be technical dealt with during design phase, then, during construction phase
-    Product development and technicality of competitors in China (Tail seal grease, Main drive protections, Ground treatments, etc…)
-    Provide technical supports
-    Ensures, controls and improve Company image

Job description

OEM (40% of working time)

-    Establish a complete list of all Chinese OEM and meet with all important managers, and key persons
-    Understand the main organization of each OEM. Goal: who to talk to for any given subject (technical, commercial, general business)
-    Provide technical supports to create new partnership
-    Establish commercial partnership with OEM

Contractor (40% of working time)

-    Establish a relationship with of all Chinese contractors and meet with all important managers, and key persons in each company
-    Give technical support to Contractor during design phase in relation with OEM, follow and help Contractor during construction phase
-    Sell product range: each year, targets will be defined

Competitors (10% of working time)

-    Provides adequate market (competitors), product, technical and pricing feedback

Chinese market analyses (10% of working time)

-    Understand in global which companies should be strategically linked to the company business in China and outside China.
-    Help identify and develop current and new partnerships

Report to management internally frequently:
-    Twice per month
-    Fill CRM with all information continuously

Job Requirements    

-    At least 3 to 5 years experience in the tunnel industry

At least one of the 3 following backgrounds:
-    Construction on jobsite (TBM manager, operator, mechanics, purchasers etc…)
-    General TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) design department, or TBM fluid design department
-    Lubricant related to tunnel industry experience

-    Excellent salesmanship
-    Has good knowledge of market trends and developments; good business acumen
-    Good organizational skills and autonomous
-    Self-starter with intrapreneurial mindset; intellectually agile and flexible
-    Results and goals oriented
-    Native Mandarin with good English, French is a plus
-    Good at Microsoft Office Suite
-    Sensitive to tunnel construction industry
-    Flexible with schedule
-    Willing to travel frequently (up to 75% of the time)
