To support the company’s continued growth across APAC, we seek to hire a Regional Sales Manager based in Hong Kong.
Job Description:
- Develop and drive the company’s evolving business, first in South East Asia and then across Asia Pacific
- Follow performance plans and take ownership of results.
- Guide and motivate distributors to greater consistent performance.
- Represent the company at conferences and industry events in the region.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous products, processes, and sales practices improvements.
- Meet and exceed mutually agreed commercial targets, including:
- Delivering top line sales and revenue goals in all nominated markets and countries.
- Ensuring sales performance of distribution partners’ through effective communication and transparent business practices.
- Manage successful relationships with distribution partners to:
- Ensure market and performance transparency across all markets and countries.
- Recruit new and manage existing partners.
- Identify and report obstacles, threats, and opportunities regionally, and in each country.
- Facilitate efficient sales processes and conversion.
- Coordinate and direct shared resources across the region
- Support compliance and product marketing, logistics and importation
- Serve as the focal point for distributors.
- Follow up, track and report on regulatory environments across the region
- Provide senior management with accurate, timely and actionable market insights and status reports.
Job Requirements:
- A university degree in life sciences, biochemistry or a related field:
- An MBA preferred.
- At least eight years' experience managing indirect sales of surgical and medical devices:
- At least six years’ in a regional role, managing channel partners across Asia.
- Hands-on and strategic distributor management experience.
- Familiar with domestic markets and sales-cycles of surgical and medical devices across the region.
- Able to exhibit gravitas, credibly engaging internal and external stakeholders as a trusted partner.
- Comfortable reporting indirect sales metrics in complex, regulated markets.
- History of successfully delivering company targets, individual and team goals:
- Strong, established relationships with medical device distributors across Asia.
- Reputation for delivering win-win results as a trusted-partner to surgical and medical device distributors.
- Track-record of compliance with codes of conduct and business best practices.
- Experience establishing and managing KOLs:
- Demonstrable history of establishing, nurturing and leveraging relationships for commercial success.
- Experience identifying, initiating and adopting best-practices in Asia.
- Comfortable prioritizing tasks and working independently.
- Able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, global organization:
- Aggressive, agile, results-oriented mindset.
