Our client is a global specialty chemical manufacturer; among the world's leading markers of textile dyes, auxiliaries and other chemistry. Headquartered in Europe, the regional head office is in China, and there are plants and sales offices across the country and around the world. To capture targeted potential sales in the critical market of South China, the company is hiring an Account Manager. Ideally based in Guangzhou, this person manages revenue, engagement and success from nominated key accounts like mills, retailers, traders and other segments, while developing new business relationships as an individual contributor. 

Reporting to an Areas Sales Manager, success as an Account Manager is defined through KPIs related to independence and creative account management. Dedicated to nominated partners while developing new opportunities, an Account Manager is a key component of the company's South China growth strategy during the global pandemic.

Job Description:

  • Provide professional sales services and technical support to customers
  • Develop new business and new customers
  •  Achieve assigned sales and margin targets while meeting individual targets
  • Monitor and control nominated customers' accounts receivables
  • Collect and apply business intelligence including market trends, competitors' activities and partners' and industry financial status
  • Provide consumption forecasts in support of replenishment and supply chain optimization
  • Provide price and contract quotations to customers   
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
    • Textile, Textile Chemistry or related major preferred
  • Five-plus years' selling textile dyes and other textile chemicals in South China
    • Track-record of individual sales accountability
    • Strong knowledge of the China textile market
    • Experience independently within a sales team
  • Good English
    • Primarily reading and writing of commercial reports
