Our client is an international industrial food group with a worldwide presence and strong global market reputation.
For our client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Procurement Director.

The role will be responsible for delivering results which are expected in key business metrics (cost, service, quality, innovation) through the development and implementation of procurement strategies and team management of procurement professionals.

Reporting to:    China General Manager (European based in Beijing)

Job Description
?    Develop and deliver category, sourcing, and supplier management strategies to meet the overall business objectives and abide by our global procurement policies.
?    Co-ordinate and facilitate the interaction and communication between our suppliers and the company personnel they interact with to ensure business alignment and efficient work processes.
?    Lead the supplier performance management and supplier competency development program, to improve overall suppliers’ capability to meet company requirement in terms of quality, capacity, flexibility, cost advantage and stability.
?    Professional mentoring and coaching for team members to meet business subjects.
?    Deliver results in key performance areas including cost management, budgeting & financial predictability, cash performance, inventory reduction, service & quality to plants, process improvements, innovation, and alignment with our internal business partners.
?    Understand the supply markets that we are buying in to define and implement a strategy with our suppliers and potential suppliers that generate a competitive advantage to company.
?    Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the raw material commodity markets that impact the materials we buy, develop a risk management program for each commodity, and communicate that plan to business leaders for approval and adoption.
?    Continually review industry and peer best practices, develop plans to implement those that provide a competitive advantage to company.
?    Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects together with suppliers.

Job Requirements
?    Bachelor degree or above, fluent in English is a MUST and French fluency is a strong plus.
?    More than 10 years procurement management experiences in FMCG field, more than 4 years’ experience in the same position, food and beverage background is highly preferred.
?    Proficient in strategy Sourcing/Procurement design and implementation, Supplier Classification and Supplier Relationship Management, Risk Management, Supplier Development, Project Management.
?    Good communication, organization skills and team management skills.
?    Strong capability on communication with cross functional departments and good at problem-solving.
?    Able to travel frequently.
