Our client operates fully integrated sports, leisure and entertainment facilities. To support the different operations, our client works with different partners.
For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a HR Manager.

Job location: Singapore

Job description

• Manage HR matters (with CEO where needed) that could pose a risk to the company
• Manage HR requirements for inbound/outbound permanent, temporary, contract, casual and seconded staff maintaining utmost integrity and professionalism
• On-boarding session/presentation/meeting for new staff: covering employee handbook and procedures etc
• Career paths for permanent hires across various grades, with retention and succession plans
• Benchmarking of internal relative performance (curve or other)
• Benchmarking with similar businesses
• Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies manual
• Manage and maintain performance appraisals and review process
• Manage employee referral scheme
• Staff communication on HR matters
• Seek to improve and adapt best in class HR practise relevant for the company
• Talent identification and attraction (from temporary, contract, casual and other talent pools)
• Remain well connected to the stadia, sport, hospitality and theme park industry sectors to ensure talent identification and company competitiveness in attracting and retaining talent
• Maintaining connectivity and outreach with company Alumni


• Achieve Singapore Preferred Employer in 24 months

• Balanced scorecard (examples follow)
o Time to find required number of candidates
o Turnover of permanent hires and live and relevant action plan to retain top talent
o Conversion of top young local casual/temporary talent to full time permanent hires
o Yield ratio = Number of leads from a given recruitment method / Number of candidates invited to interview
o Training and development (time, cost, upskill rate, repeat problem rate)
o Loyalty (top performer turnover, employee engagement etc)
o Others to be included TBD

Job Requirements
• Deep stadia or hospitality or theme park industry experience, and clear experience and understanding of the demands of such businesses
• Track record of running a HR department of c.[200] FTEs plus peak casual hires c.2000 on an event basis
• Strong experience and understanding of the interaction of multiple types of hires/contract and the impact on business risk
• Track record of dealing in HR matters for permanent, temporary/contract and casual staff hires and on boarding staff properly
• Experience in leading and implementing HR process design
• Ability to develop HR practise and platform commensurate with an iconic business in Singapore
• Knowledge of Singapore HR practise (MOM interaction etc) for a complex business
• Minimum 15 years of experience in HR role, at least 10 in senior capacity
• Multicultural awareness and comfort
• Service oriented
• Positive mindset, with ‘show must go on’ attitude
• Able to communicate across all levels of the organization
• Hands-on approach
• Seen as a role model
• Strong change management skills and experience
• Comfortable with managing complexity and ambiguity
