Our client is a European Owned Tech-start up focused on the wine & service sectors for urban communities in Shanghai and Suzhou. We are now looking to expand our operations and therefore we are looking to hire a General Manager (Hong Kong), to oversee and grow the company.

Job location: Hong Kong
Reporting to: Board of Directors based in Shanghai HQ

Job description
• Understand the company’s philosophy and overall strategy
• Plan, develop, and direct daily operations
• Forecast and analyze sales, labor, and profit & loss
• Oversee accounting records, daily reporting requirements, and cash control
• Recruit, supervise, train, schedule, discipline, review, and direct the team
• Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times
• Ensure all team members perform at a consistently high level
• Oversee supplies and logistics
• Develop and implements strategy for operational management and business development in consultation with the board of directors
• Oversee quality control, inventory, health, safety regulations and exceptional customer service
• Full responsibility for branch growth, revenue and customer conversion rates
• Minimal international travelling required

Job Requirements
• Passionate, entrepreneurial and market savvy
• Wine lover and interested in new technology
• Solid experience in Business Development and driving new business creation
• Previous experience in the Food & Beverage, Hospitality or Communications and Agency industry (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently; Strong analytical decision making skills
• Ready to assume different roles during the start-up phase
• Well connected and GLOCAL mindset with a strong understanding of the Hong Kong business landscape
