Our client is one of the leading international sports marketing groups in the world. They cover all aspects of local and global sport events, from production to sponsorship and distribution of media rights.

Scope: lead the commercial activity of the company’s sponsorship services in China, in cooperation with the global Sales & Marketing teams

Reporting to: Asia CEO

Location: Beijing, P.R. China


Job description

• Lead all international sales including the handling and coordinating of all international sales initiatives and requests (gateway China)

• Help drive domestic China sales in close coordination with the sales team

• Responsible for driving cross sales initiatives from China with an objective to drive one to two cross sales sponsorship per year

• Develop and innovate sales packaging and presentations as well as foster and maintain existing and new client network and relationships

• Identify digital activation opportunities within China’s rights portfolio and create tailored offerings for existing and potential new clients

• Coordinate related activation efforts for domestic and international sponsorship partners

• Further develop and maintain the company’s China’s sales agent network to enhance the domestic sales reach

• Work closely with the client servicing team to make sure sponsor contractual rights are delivered smoothly and client
• needs are met

• Work closely with group sales and independently coordinate with MMCC / cross sales

• Ensure smooth communication with HQ and participate and contribute in all global sales initiatives

• Support any other task, relevant to the position


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, majored in marketing, business administration or similar education

• At least seven years sales and marketing experience, background with international advertising companies and/or overseas experience as a plus

• Profound experience and deep understanding of national and international digital trends in sponsorship activation

• Ability to negotiate both rights in and rights out contracts

• Knowledge or experience of the sports sponsoring and activation market is preferable

• Access to a strong client network at top-level (CMO’s, etc.)

• In depth understanding of the sponsorship landscape in China

• Solid and very good background in Microsoft office, especially strong skillset on presentation

• Good team player to work under high pressure and tight deadlines

• Preferably, has passion for sports and deep understanding of sports industry

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
