Our client is a European company specialized in furniture production and window displays. For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Purchasing Manager (Shanghai).
Job location: Shanghai
Scope: Lead the sourcing department and process
Reporting to: GM/COO (China) and Corporate Purchasing Manager (Europe)
Job description
- Liaise with project managers, technical , logistic, administration and finance department
- Supervise and manage the purchasing team and process
- Select, validate and monitor new suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions on purchasing
- Assure timely delivery from suppliers
- Provide periodic assessment of suppliers
- Update suppliers database
- Advise and support project managers on projects feasibility
- Monitor budget from the sourcing point of view
- Overview stock management and optimization
- Manage the materials show room
- Introduce new materials
Job Requirements
- 10 years experience in purchasing and decoration or furniture manufacturing industry
- 3 years experience in a managing position
- Experience in the retail segment preferred
- Fluent in Italian, Fluent in English
- Knowledge of 2D drawing (CAD)
- Knowledge of main decoration and furniture materials
- Knowledge of main decoration and furniture production methodology
- Knowledge of Microsoft office package
- Excellent team leadership skills
- Strong communication capacity
- Proactive problem solving ability
