Our client is a leading European Group specialized in the extraction, processing and distribution of natural stones. For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a China General Manager.
Job scope: Manage the local office and lead the commercial development of the company
Reporting to: Group CEO
Job location: Xiamen, P.R. China
Job description
- Managing the interface between the quarries, the factories and the group's international clients
- Identification of new potential clients and business partners
- Responsible for developing the variety and the quality of the product offering
- Generate business intelligence and track new trends in the industry
- Managing the interface with existing clients, both internal and external
- Understanding clients' needs, define prices and fulfill orders
- Managing the purchasing activities of the company: sourcing suppliers (quarries and factories), price negotiation and quality control
- Managing the existing commercial, logistics and administration team; and develop it according to business needs
- Work in close cooperation with the headquarters and distribution channels in Europe as well as other entities within the group
- Participate in the establishment of yearly budgets and commercial action plan; guarantee the execution of the business strategy and profitability of the structure
Job Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the natural stone products and its business environment
- Demonstrated commercial ability and customer orientation
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Ability to operate in a multicultural working environment
- Language skills: ability to work in Mandarin and English; other European languages would be a plus
- Willing to travel within China and occasionally abroad
