Marketing Manager - Asia Pacific

To support growth and capitalize on market conditions, the company seeks to hire a dedicated Marketing Manager for the Asia Pacific market.

Reporting to the Global Marketing Director, based overseas at the headquarters, the Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific is a pioneering role for the company. Based in Hong Kong with the newly formed Asia Pacific management team, this person will be accountable for branding, communications and online / offline marketing through channel and direct sales across APAC.
 
Job Description:
  • Manage and deliver marketing results for Asia Pacific in a matrixed and decentralized organization
    • Ensure the existing culture is established in Hong Kong and throughout the APAC region
    • Ensure necessary marketing control systems are in place to quickly identify and resolve potential problem areas
    • Adopt and evangelize brand, communication and other marketing best practices from the function into the region
    • Analyze monthly marketing program cost and spend reports and ROI
    • Identify and execute localized online/offline marketing opportunities
    • Regional ownership of company communication policies and branding initiatives
    • Coordination of local / regional products launches and new product introductions
    • Oversee branding alignment online, offline and across all omni-channels environments in Asia Pacific
    • Engage, maintain and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders across segments and markets 
    • Take ownership of vendor agencies' relationships and be accountable for subsequent results
    • Ensure consistency and integrity of branding and product positioning across the region
    • Develop, localize and deliver communication and brand materials for industry events
  • Participate in functional and regional management reporting 
    • Develop short- and long-term strategies that deliver target goals including revenue, market penetration and brand equity
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports against budgets and objectives
Job Requirements:
  • A degree from a reputable university
  • 10 years' marketing experience within consumer electronics or a related industry
    • Focus on product introduction, market expansion and regional branding consolidation
    • Comfortable with strategy and analysis
    • Familiar with common marketing and sales reporting tools, practices and technologies
      • Online / e-commerce, agencies / partner management and marketing applications 
    • Track-record of delivering results against mutually agreed goals across the region
  • Agile thinking and in reacting to market and business developments
    • Daring and Confident
    • Results-and sales-oriented mindset
  • Great communication skills and ability to create close and trusted relationships 
    • Equally comfortable with customers, colleagues and partners at all levels
    • Fluent spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin necessary 
  • Able to work efficiently and independently 
    • History of developing and presenting reliable insights, growth forecast and brand value reports
  • Good computer skills
    • MS Office programs including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook 
  • Background working independently in a multi-national environment
  • Willingness to travel
    • Primarily to China, Japan and South East Asia
