Senior Business Developer
Our client is a leading international company in the field of retail design and visual merchandising. With design and production centers both in Europe and in China, the company operates worldwide handling several kinds of retail projects from design to execution in the high-end segment.
For this client, Talent Fishers is seeking a Senior Business Developer to support the company's growth in the Chinese market.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the luxury retail market, strong business development skills, and a proven track record of driving sales and growth in the industry.

Reporting to: China General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the target client’s organization.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and build a strong network of industry contacts.
- Together with the GM, set and monitor the sales forecast.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals including contract negotiations and payments follow-up.
- Together with the marketing team, create and customize presentations to clients showing the company expertise and cases.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to penetrate and expand in the Chinese luxury retail network.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities, providing insights and recommendations to the top management.
- Cooperate with the production and creative team to complete bid documents.
- Together with the project management team, oversee the execution of projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a Design, Architecture or technical-related field. A Master or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the luxury retail or visual merchandising sector. Experience working with European or international companies is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in developing and managing business relationships with large clients in the luxury and design field is preferred.
- Deep understanding of the Chinese luxury retail market, including trends, key players, and consumer behavior.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, sharp in identifying opportunities and developing effective solutions. Ability to analyze data and develop effective business strategies.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required. Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Ability to navigate and adapt to different cultural contexts, particularly within a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Goal-oriented and result-driven personality.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
