For our client, Talent Fishers is looking for a China General Manager

 

Location:              Shenzhen, China

Report to:         ASIA General Manager & Global CEO at parent Group

 

 


MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES



Overview


  • Manage the whole business operation and development of the company in China, provide the insight and long-term vision.
  • Responsible for the online and offline synergies in China ( sales and marketing wise)

 


Sales


  • Responsible for the commercial strategy for the company in China
  • Responsible for the sales network development offline and online of the company’s business in China
  • Responsible for maintaining good relationship with distributors/partners and developing new offline channels
  • Actively promoting the establishment and improvement of sales channels in the field of e-commerce retailing to increase new sales profit points for the Group

 


Marketing


  • Responsible for developing the company's marketing strategy in China.
  • Responsible for defining the company's brand positioning and leading the brand communication in China
  • Clear strategy on product portfolio management

 


Finance, Supply Chain and Production


  • Control the financial health and growth of the whole company
  • Responsible for the P&L of China company
  • Monitor the purchase department for raw material and OEM business
  • Monitor the production unit for capacity and efficiency

 


Team Construction and Management


  • Manage the local team and improve team productivity
  • Set KPIs and clear objectives for the team managers and conduct quarterly reviews with the team managers on KPIs
  • Create teamwork, have regular meetings, open communication and have feedback sessions

 



PROCESS & INTERACTIONS



  • Report regularly to Asia General Manager and CEO of parent group
  • Coordination between different subsidiaries under the group in Vietnam, Malaysia,...
  • Manage the different branches and departments in China (Shenzhen, Shanghai)
  • Work closely with team manager of each department in China
  • Keep good relationship with KA

 



OTHER WORK INTERACTIONS



  • Partners in China: dealers, TP, shopping malls, online players
  • Suppliers for raw material and OEM business
  • Marketing agency in future maybe

 



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES



  • Bachelor degree and above
  • At least 10 years of work experience, including at least 7 years of sales or marketing experience in the furniture industry, especially in the lifestyle industry.
  • Experience in sales strategy for definition and implementation
  • Experience in sales development (network development and maintaining dealers relationship in furniture /lifestyle industry)
  • Experience in on-line business (including both traditional e-commerce and social e-commerce)
  • Experience in marketing strategy definition (successful brand awareness establishment and trade marketing experience are musts)
  • Experience in controlling purchasing business, especially cost control and reduction
  • Can understand financial statement, proven experience on cost control
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members to realize their potential.
  • Entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit, willing to take risks and make decisions.
  • Proficient in English as a daily working language, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to communicate and work smoothly with international teams.
  • Self-disciplined, energetic, with excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with matrix management, having resources in the furniture mall or shopping mall field, and having overseas experience would be a plus.
