Quality Director
Our client is a global leading international enterprise in its industry. For this client, Talent Fishers is seeking a Quality Director to act as the core steward of the company’s quality system. This role will be responsible for the overall oversight of quality strategy implementation, system development and full-process quality control within the intelligent manufacturing domain, driving the cultivation of a quality-centric culture and elevating quality awareness across the organization. The incumbent will ensure the entire product lifecycle adheres to international standards, industry regulations and customer requirements, and underpin the company’s business growth and customer satisfaction enhancement through high-caliber quality management practices.

MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and continuously optimize a full-process quality management system adapted to the company's development to achieve controllable quality throughout the whole chain of product design, incoming material inspection, production process, testing, delivery and after-sales service; Promote the closed-loop rectification and continuous improvement of quality problems, reduce quality costs, and enhance product reliability and core competitiveness; Ensure the company's compliant quality operation and successfully pass various internal and external audits and certifications.
Quality Management System Construction and Compliant Operation
- Lead the establishment, maintenance and continuous optimization of the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensure the system complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other international standards as well as industry-specific specifications, and drive the effective implementation of the system in all departments.
- Overall manage product compliance to ensure products meet various industry regulations such as UL, RoHS and REACH; be responsible for the collation, filing and maintenance of relevant certification documents to ensure the continuous validity of certification qualifications.
- Take the lead in organizing internal quality audits, formulate audit plans and promote the closed-loop rectification of problems; overall coordinate the response to customer second-party audits and regulatory third-party audits, formulate audit response strategies to ensure the smooth progress of audits.
Full-Process Quality Control and Assurance
- Design and R&D Quality: Cooperate with R&D and engineering departments to integrate quality design into the whole product development process, lead design reviews, and use tools such as DFQ/DFM, FMEA, APQP and PPAP to identify and control quality risks from the source to ensure product design meets quality standards.
- Incoming Material and Production Process Quality: Formulate and implement quality inspection standards and execution specifications for incoming materials, production processes and finished products; supervise the implementation of IQC, IPQC and FQC full-process inspection work; monitor production process quality by using statistical tools such as SPC, and timely identify and promote the rectification of process abnormalities.
- Testing and Delivery Quality: Establish a quality control system for product performance testing, ensure the accurate calibration and standardized maintenance of testing equipment, and guarantee the authenticity and validity of testing data; control the quality of finished product delivery to ensure delivered products meet customer requirements.
Quality Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Take the lead in handling various quality problems including process defects and customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis by using tools such as RCA and 8D, formulate and promote the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure the closed-loop of problems and no recurrence.
- Establish and track core quality KPI indicators (PPM, First Pass Yield, customer complaint rate, etc.), compile quality analysis reports regularly, and report the quality status, problems and improvement directions to the management.
- Cooperate with cross-departmental teams to promote continuous improvement plans, drive lean quality management, optimize production processes and product design, reduce defect rate, scrap rate and quality costs, and improve production efficiency and product qualification rate.
Customer Quality Service and Relationship Maintenance
- Overall handle customer quality complaints and feedback, respond to customer needs quickly, take the lead in carrying out fault analysis and solution formulation in conjunction with relevant departments, and timely feed back the processing progress and results to customers.
- Establish a customer quality communication mechanism, deeply understand customer quality expectations, promote the alignment of the company's quality standards with customer requirements, and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Quality Team Management and Culture Construction
- Establish, lead and cultivate a professional quality team (including Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Technicians, etc.), clarify team job responsibilities and work objectives, and establish a scientific performance appraisal and capability improvement system.
- Organize professional quality training to improve the professional competence and business level of team members; drive the construction of quality culture, strengthen the quality awareness of all staff through publicity and training, and create a quality control atmosphere with the participation of all staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering or other related majors.
- More than 10 years of quality management experience in the intelligent manufacturing field, with experience in the overall leadership of quality teams, and familiar with the key points of full-process quality control in industrial product R&D and production.
- Priority will be given to candidates with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate;
- Profound knowledge of industrial product performance testing, familiar with the detection methods of core indicators such as efficiency, torque, vibration and thermal performance, and understand the application logic of quality testing tools such as CMM, oscilloscopes and dynamometers;
- Proficient in using quality management tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA/PFMEA, SPC and 8D, with the ability to independently design, implement and optimize a complete quality assurance system, and formulate sustainable quality improvement plans based on the system;
- Familiar with international quality management standards, industry regulations and customer quality requirements, with practical experience in responding to various internal and external audits.
- Excellent strategic thinking and overall planning capabilities, able to transform the company's development strategy into quality control objectives and implementation plans;
- Strong cross-departmental coordination and promotion capabilities, able to effectively coordinate R&D, production, engineering and other departments to carry out quality work, and promote problem solving and process optimization;
- Outstanding problem-solving ability, able to quickly identify the root causes of quality problems in complex scenarios and formulate scientific and effective solutions;
- Good communication and management skills, able to coordinate internal and external quality work overall, with strong pressure resistance and result-oriented thinking.
- Fluent in Chinese and excellent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, able to conduct cross-departmental, cross-regional communication and external docking work in English as a working language.
- Proficient in using MS Office software, especially Excel (PivotTable, function analysis, etc.) and PPT, able to efficiently carry out quality data statistics and report compilation;
- Familiar with office collaboration and data management systems such as ERP and SharePoint, able to skillfully use the systems for quality data management, work collaboration and process control.
