Senior Production Manager

 

Our client is a leading multinational specializing in advanced environmental regulation solutions. The company's expertise spans multiple sectors, from household essentials to high-tech fields like aerospace and mobility, though always centered on core environmental functionality.

 

Talent Fishers is currently seeking an Senior Production Manager for this client, who will be fully responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of all production activities within the factory, ensuring that the company's high standards are met in terms of safety, quality, cost, and delivery time. This position is responsible for managing subordinate production managers and a large production team (involving the majority of frontline staff out of approximately 1,500 people), efficiently translating operational strategies into tangible production results.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



 


  • Production Command: Oversee all shifts and daily operations in all production areas to ensure the effective execution of production plans, scheduling, and resource allocation. 
  • Capacity and Delivery: Ensure that the production department completes monthly and quarterly production targets on time and in the required quantity, and maintain a high level of on-time delivery (OTD) rate.
  • Resource Coordination: Work closely with planning, materials, quality, and engineering departments to quickly resolve issues such as material shortages, quality abnormalities, and equipment downtime that occur during the production process.
  • Safety First: Responsible for the safety, occupational health, and environment (SHE) management of the production area, strictly implement the company's safety regulations and standards, ensure the safety awareness and operating procedures of all production personnel, and achieve the goal of zero work-related injuries.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all product manufacturing processes strictly adhere to quality control standards and work instructions, and lead the implementation of quality anomaly handling and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in the production process.
  • Cost efficiency: Responsible for monitoring direct labor and manufacturing costs, strictly controlling manufacturing costs and improving production efficiency through effective human resource management and production efficiency improvements.
  • On-site management: Promote and maintain 5S/visual management standards to ensure that the production site environment is clean, orderly, and meets audit requirements.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Collaborate with the industrial engineering team to promote the implementation and practice of lean manufacturing tools (such as quick mold changeover and waste elimination) on the production floor, continuously improving production line operational efficiency and output.
  • Equipment coordination: Ensure that operators use and maintain the equipment correctly, and cooperate with the equipment maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance plans.
  • Talent pipeline: Directly manage several production managers, responsible for their goal setting, performance evaluation and daily guidance, to ensure the management team's competence and efficiency.
  • Employee Development: Establish and improve the operator skills matrix and training system to ensure that all employees possess the professional skills and safety knowledge required to perform their duties.

 

 



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES   



  • Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Proficient in production planning, material control, on-site management, and team operation management.
  • Has a deep understanding of and rigorous implementation of safety production and quality control systems.
  • Possesses fundamental knowledge and practical experience in lean production and continuous improvement.
  • Able to analyze production data (output, efficiency, yield) and develop improvement measures accordingly.
  • Deep understanding of equipment and efficiency metrics such as OEE, and experience in improving metrics through systematic maintenance.
  • At least 10-12 years of production management experience in large manufacturing enterprises, including at least 5 years as a production manager or senior executive, with practical experience in managing large-scale (1000+ people) production teams.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • With experience working in large foreign-invested or joint-venture enterprises or the automotive industry.
