For our client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Area Manager Japan & Korea
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Report to: Asia Pacific Dirctor
MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the export business development of the company’s alcoholic beverages in the Japan and Korea markets.
- Formulate and execute regional sales strategies, develop customer resources, and drive the achievement of sales targets.
- Develop export sales strategies for the Japan and Korea markets, identify market opportunities, set sales targets, and expand market share.
- Develop customers in Japan and Korea, conduct business negotiations, sign cooperation agreements, and establish a stable customer network.
- Maintain key customer relationships, conduct regular visits and communications, understand customer needs, and provide solutions and after-sales support.
- Follow up the entire process of export orders, coordinate with production, logistics, quality control, finance and other departments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collect market information in Japan and Korea, analyze industry trends, trade policies and competitor dynamics, and provide support for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with the trade regulations, customs policies and industry standards of Japan and Korea, manage export documents, and mitigate trade risks.
- Submit regular sales reports and forecasts, report on performance achievement and problems encountered, and propose improvement plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Food Science, Marketing or related fields.
- At least 5 years of export experience in the alcoholic beverage or FMCG industry, with a proven track record in developing the Japan and South Korea markets.
- Proficiency in Japanese; good English skills are preferred.
- Possess cross-cultural communication and business negotiation abilities.
- Familiar with the market characteristics, consumption habits and customs clearance processes of Japan and Korea, and have an understanding of relevant trade regulations.
- Possess market analysis and problem-solving capabilities, and be able to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment.
- Excellent cross-departmental collaboration and resource coordination skills, able to promote internal and external cooperation to achieve goals.
- Strong sense of responsibility, result-oriented, able to work under pressure; willing to accept business trips.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and possess data analysis capabilities.
- Familiar with the alcohol certification requirements and technical standards in Japan and Korea.
- Have existing customer resources or channel resources in Japan and Korea are preferred.
