In Asia Pacific, they have an established team and several production sites to support clients.
For this client, Talent Fishers is looking for a Finance Manager.
Overview
- Lead the Finance function and act as a business partner to the General Manager and the Group Finance organization in Europe. The role is responsible for reliable financial reporting, strong internal control, tax and statutory compliance, budgeting and forecasting, industrial controlling, cash and working capital management, and the development of a capable local Finance team. The Finance Manager must identify risks early, challenge the business constructively and drive corrective actions to completion.

Job Description
Financial Leadership and Business Partnership
• Support the General Manager and China management team with clear financial analysis, scenarios and recommendations for business decisions.
• Translate Group targets into measurable financial priorities for the China business and follow up execution with accountable owners and deadlines.
• Provide an independent financial view, challenge assumptions and escalate material risks before they affect monthly closing, cash, EBITDA or compliance.
• Maintain effective coordination with HQ Finance, Controlling, Tax, Treasury and auditors in Europe and China.
Reporting, Budget and Forecast
• Own accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closing in accordance with Group accounting policies, and annual statutory closing in accordance with PRC GAAP and local requirements.
• Lead the annual budget, monthly forecast and multi-year planning processes, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount and capital expenditure.
• Explain actual versus budget and prior year performance, identify root causes and coordinate recovery actions.
• Ensure reconciliation between statutory accounts, Group reporting, SAP and management reports.
Industrial Controlling and Performance
• Lead product costing, standard cost updates, variance analysis, margin by product family and profitability by customer or channel.
• Monitor production efficiency, material usage, scrap, rework, purchase price variance, overtime and manufacturing overhead absorption.
• Control inventory valuation, provisions, slow-moving and obsolete stock, work in progress and incomplete machines; support accurate physical inventory counts.
• Partner with Operations, Sales and Purchasing to improve gross margin, cost discipline and data quality.
Cash, Working Capital and Controls
• Drive cash flow and working capital performance, including receivables, payables, inventory and customer credit risk.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships, payments, foreign exchange exposure and short-term cash forecasting within Group rules.
• Maintain robust internal controls, approval authorities and segregation of duties; ensure purchases, payments and accounting entries are properly authorized and documented.
• Own remediation of internal and external audit findings and follow actions through to verified closure.
Tax, Statutory and Risk Management
• Ensure full compliance with PRC tax, statutory, customs and foreign exchange requirements, including timely filings and complete supporting documentation.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, banks and professional advisers, while controlling scope, cost and quality of their work.
• Identify tax, legal and financial exposure early; quantify potential impact and present practical options to the General Manager and HQ.
• Ensure transfer pricing and related-party transactions are correctly documented and aligned with Group requirements.
Systems, Data and Team Leadership
• Ensure high-quality master data, accounting processes and financial controls in SAP; lead improvements in reporting automation and process efficiency.
• Build, coach and retain a reliable Finance team with clear responsibilities, objectives, backup coverage and development plans.
• Set high standards for accuracy, ownership, confidentiality and timely communication; address performance gaps directly.
• Create simple and decision-oriented reports for management, avoiding unnecessary complexity or duplicated work.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive Finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong experience in an international industrial or manufacturing company; machinery, automotive or complex assembly experience is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of PRC accounting, tax and statutory requirements, together with experience in Group reporting under IFRS or international accounting standards.
• Strong industrial controlling experience covering standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory, working capital and capital expenditure.
• Advanced SAP and Excel capability. Experience with BI and reporting automation is an advantage.
• Fluent Mandarin and strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate directly and clearly with international headquarters.
