Position Overview
This senior executive oversees all production functions, standardizes China-Vietnam workflows, resolves cross-functional friction and mitigates delivery/cost risks, delivering full-lifecycle order operations guided by sales’ frontline customer requirements from pre-sales development through post-delivery shipment.
We require a structured, commercially focused senior leader with robust apparel costing proficiency, cross-functional communication and solution-focused collaboration. You will resolve critical operational issues including fabric variances, production disruptions, delays and cost overruns, eliminate functional silos, and balance material costs, production capacity and delivery timelines to fully align with sales-led customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Material Cost Governance & Pre-Sales Commercial Support
•Cooperate with sales to standardize fabric & accessory development evaluation, resolve material specification, cost and lead time risks during client price talks.
•Build group-wide material cost benchmark and full garment costing systems, spot abnormal costs early and propose profit protection plans for management.
•Unify material technical standards and risk control rules to cut repeated material shortage and supply delays.
•Optimize cost databases and costing standards to hit gross profit targets.
2. Sample Center Management & Efficiency Improvement
•Full strategic charge of sample development centers; set sample development SOPs, staffing plans and delivery KPIs matching business growth goals.
•Analyze recurring sample quality and schedule issues, formulate corrective plans to raise sample pass rate and shorten development cycles.
•Control sample development costs, cut redundant work and lower indirect operating expenses.
3. Vietnam Hanoi Production Management
•Full leadership of all Hanoi production teams, set team targets, KPIs and order planning & distribution rules.
•Make unified order priority, urgent order and escalation rules to coordinate sales demand and Vietnam production capacity.
•Regularly audit Hanoi workflows, find process bottlenecks and launch optimization plans to boost team efficiency.
4. Bulk Order Risk Control & Delivery Assurance
•Hold full accountability for post-confirmation bulk order delivery; build multi-layer risk identification, escalation and mitigation frameworks covering cutting, sewing, finishing and packing via Hanoi teams.
•Deploy early warning systems for capacity, material, quality and timeline deviations, track corrective actions to guarantee on-time, on-spec shipments for global clients.
•Standardize cross-department collaboration rules to unify buyer technical and quality requirements across all regional teams and remove information silos.
Job Requirements
1. Working Experience
•8–12 years progressive apparel foreign trade supply chain leadership experience; minimum 4 years director-level tenure with full P&L and operational oversight.
•Proven track record independently managing offshore planning, order allocation and production teams.
•End-to-end international apparel order governance experience covering pre-sales development, sample validation, full costing, mass production risk control and global shipment management.
•Mandatory prior strategic collaboration with sales leadership to govern material development, price adjustments and pre-order commercial risk resolution.
2. Professional Skill
•Expert full garment costing capability covering fabric, trims, packaging, overhead and logistics; able to assess pricing rationality and design margin protection strategies.
•Comprehensive apparel technical expertise: garment construction, sewing standards, material performance evaluation; interpret complex tech packs to set unified cross-border technical standards.
•Advanced Excel skills for cost modeling, KPI dashboard design and executive operational analysis; translate data into strategic risk recommendations for senior leadership.
•Strategic system-building mindset to design cross-border supply chain governance frameworks and lead process optimization transformations.
3. Language Ability
•Business fluent written and spoken English for daily executive communication with global clients and overseas teams.
•Conversational Vietnamese preferred for on-site alignment with Hanoi leadership.
